DMV Office to Close for Remodeling
Sahara Ave. to Receive New Carpeting

The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles office at 2701 E. Sahara Ave. will be closed Saturday, August 31st, 2002 for the installation of new carpeting.

The office will remain closed through the Labor Day weekend and reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3rd.

Some staff members will be on duty at the Sahara branch on Saturday to issue movement permits and maps to the DMV’s other locations. The DMV offices at 8250 W. Flamingo Rd., 4021 W. Carey Ave. in North Las Vegas and 1399 American Pacific Dr. in Henderson will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All DMV offices are normally closed Sunday and will also be closed Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day.

The installation of new carpeting at the Sahara branch is one of a series of recent improvements at that location. Last year, the department replaced carpeting in the customer areas with tile and expanded the driver testing areas. New customer seating was installed earlier this year.
