Substance Abuse Commission Seeks Public Input
State Commission Drafting New Master Plan
The Nevada Commission on Substance Abuse Education, Enforcement and Treatment will be holding public hearings later this month to obtain comments and information on Nevada's substance abuse problems from all interested parties.
This information will be used to update the State Master Plan that will be submitted to the Governor for approval. The Master Plan, summarizing the extent of Nevada's problem, current efforts to reduce or eliminate substance abuse and recommended priorities, will be available to the Legislature. The Commission is tasked with tracking all substance abuse trends and treatment programs in Nevada. It is currently developing a recognition program for outstanding efforts on reducing substance abuse.
