Companies with ten or more vehicles registered in Nevada may use fleet registration services at designated DMV offices. You must provide a list of all
vehicles, specifying plate numbers and VIN numbers along with the company's main office
address phone and federal tax ID number (FEIN). If you don't have a Nevada-issued fleet number,
one will be assigned. Faxed lists are accepted as long as entries are legible.
To avoid a possible registration sanction for no insurance, use the same FEIN for both the vehicle registration and with your insurance carrier. The name used to register the vehicle must match the insurance records.
Companies or persons who own more than ten vehicles may also apply for self-insurance. See the following forms for
details:
Vehicles used in interstate commerce and/or those 26,000 pounds or heavier are registered through Motor Carrier.
